Cover up Those Stretch Marks

It’s Bikini Body Season and if you’ve shredded and bought that gorgeous new bikini, it’s time to cover up those stretch marks so good that even Sherlock couldn’t find a hint if he tried. With the right tanning products, the perfect amount of sun, a few creams and a dab of cover-up, we have the perfect recipe to the bikini body you’ve always dreamed of.

First, start by cleansing your body of any oils or dirt that may be on it already. Try using Dermalogica’s Clearing Skin Wash for that.

Next, decide what kind of day it is! Is it a go out to the beach and show and tan that body kind of day? Or is it an I’m-wearing-a-summery-dress-but it’s kind-of-subtly-sexy-and-I-need-to hide-those-stretch-marks without getting-tanner-cream-on-my white-dress kind of day?

Direct ions: Work a pea-sized amount into a lather in wet hands. Apply to damp face and throat, massaging in circular motions while concentrating on areas of congestion and oiliness. Avoid the area around the eye. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

If you’re new to tanning products, we suggest you go for James Read Tan Bronzing Mousse 200ml The decadent velvet mousse goes on evenly and dries quickly. Light weighted as ever, this not only comes out of the can with no mess, it’s also less hassle than the lotion and more accurate to apply than the spray. Avoid missing spots or going over the same area twice with this tinted formula and apply it with the St. Tropez applicator mitt. That way it doesn’t leave your hands a color darker than the rest of your body, promoting therefore even coverage!

If you’re looking for something quicker and you’ve hit the spray tan machines before knowing how to handle the color and drying time on your clothes, try the St. Tropez bronzing spray! This super-fine mist dries quickly and is perfect for covering all areas including the tricky ones like your back or bikini line. If you’re a beginner, we suggest sticking with the lotion or mousse and moving to this eventually. If you are new to using the spray, work with your hands so you have full access of ease and control the coverage.

Last but not least, St. Tropez’s rich bronzing lotion is perfect for trying to maintain a darker and less subtle tan. Whether you’re a beginner or pro, you’ve probably had experience applying lotion before so the application is quite easy and familiar. Noticeably darker than the mousse, we suggest using it in the summer for more obvious results. Apply it and spread evenly without rubbing it in too much as that might cause darker patches around one area. Use the St. Tropez applicator mitt to avoid getting your hands dirty!

The best part about all these tanning products is that they contain innovative Aroma guard technology for eliminating the usual tanning product smell. There’s more: every formula also comes enriched with pH balancing moisturizers, Aloe Vera and other ingredients that nourish your skin while you tan.

After using these self-tanning methods, if you can still spot a stubborn stretch mark, use Dermablend Quick Fix Concealer SPF 30 or for something lighter, try their Leg & Body Cover SPF15!

So there you have it! Pick a tanning product based on your experience and outing, try on a cover-up make up solution if you’re still not satisfied and strut that beach perfect body out on the streets for the world to admire!
